Prague – AshTrans® 2024

What Will We Be Talking About at AshTrans® 2024?

Challenges remain and opportunities grow for the ash industry in 2024, the exciting times continue.

Always on Topic

At last year’s AshTrans®, in Rome, decarbonisation was high on the agenda, with discussions on how the move to a more sustainable future is affecting the availability of ashes globally, as well as the opportunities for the global supply chain and trading. Delegates also heard from leading organisations who shared their experience of technologies, from the processing of historic ash deposits to advances in greener cement and concrete solutions.

These will still be hot topics as AshTrans® opens in Prague, along with how natural pozzolans and natural ashes are making an impact and coming back into standardised use, amongst a myriad of other green cementitious solutions.

At this year’s AshTrans® delegates will also hear from industry leaders about the international trade in low carbon materials, new technologies and supply chain developments, as well as talking about natural pozzolans and the availability of modern day pozzolans, such as fly ash, and the interlinkages between the energy sector and the cement and concrete industry as we transition to net zero industrial strategies.

Aside from the presentations, AshTrans® always builds in ample time for networking, and this year the format will focus on providing an array space and time for lunches and break-out conversations, where delegates can converse with each other, and meet exhibitors. It’s also a chance to ask our speakers questions – the type of questions you feared asking in front of everyone!

Discuss the future of ash, surrounded by the historic grandeur of the Czechia capital, Prague.

This year’s AshTrans® will be held in a the five-star Prague Marriott Hotel with its dedicated conference facilities and amazing service. Dissected by the Vltava River, Prague is a beautiful, welcoming place that is steeped in history, with amazing architecture, renowned food and drink, and so many sights to see.

All the pieces are in place for a superb AshTrans® 2024. All we need now is you – the delegates. AshTrans brings together a ‘who’s who’ of the ash industry. It is an annual gathering of the people who making things happen, from upstream to downstream and everything in between – the innovators, the experts, the professionals, the traders, the business executives, directors and CEOs. Zarina Bazoeva

Chief Executive Officer
Neocrete | www.neocrete.com

I co-founded Neocrete to make our buildings more durable and sustainable, with a long-term goal of delivering carbon-free concrete.

Neocrete has developed an additive that activates low carbon materials, such as volcanic ash, to perform like cement, but without the costly and carbon intensive production process. Our low-carbon activated materials can currently replace up to 50% cement in concrete without the loss in performance, including early strength.

Previously I was a business advisor at KPMG, Davanti Consulting and Discovery Inc.

I have an Economics degree from University College London, focused on Environmental Economics, Game Theory and Data Analytics. My passion and deep knowledge of concrete originates with my genius dad, who has a PhD in Civil Engineering and has dedicated his life to reformulating concrete. I am hoping to take his invention further and develop concrete solution for our environmental challenge.
